Miso ramen was born in Sapporo, and Ichiryuan lets almost everyone try it: a halal miso ramen on the regular menu (no reservation needed) and a fully plant-based vegan miso ramen (reservation required) — two minutes’ walk from Sapporo Station. For travelers landing in Hokkaido with dietary requirements, this is the easiest first meal in the city.
What We Verified
- Halal miso ramen (¥2,000), always available — the official menu page marks it “Halal: no pork, no alcohol.” No reservation needed. Checked July 5, 2026.
- Vegan miso ramen “soystake” (¥2,500), reservation required — noodles, soup, and toppings all free of animal ingredients per the official menu; renewed spring 2025.
- Self-declared Muslim-friendly — the shop calls itself a Muslim-friendly restaurant; there is no third-party certification, which is why our label is Muslim-Friendly rather than Certified Halal.

What to Order
The halal miso ramen (¥2,000) if you’re Muslim; the soystake vegan miso ramen (¥2,500, book ahead via LINE or phone) if you’re plant-based. A reservation-only halal seasonal seafood shio ramen (¥2,000) also appears on the menu.
