Halal Wagyu Ramen Shinjuku-tei (Shinjuku): A5 Wagyu Ramen with a Prayer Room

🟡 Muslim-Friendly What does this label mean?
Last verified: July 5, 2026

A5 wagyu on a bowl of halal ramen, one minute from Shinjuku-Sanchome Station, with a prayer room on site — Shinjuku-tei is built for Muslim travelers. The shop states its food is 100% halal. We label it Muslim-Friendly rather than Certified Halal for one honest reason, explained below.

What We Verified

  • “100% Halal Food” stated officially — the shop’s own website says so, and lists a prayer room, free Wi-Fi, and multilingual menus. Confirmed July 5, 2026.
  • Why not “Certified Halal”? Third-party articles mention certifications, but we checked the public certified-company lists of NAHA and the Japan Halal Association directly and could not find this restaurant on either. Certifiers only publish consenting companies, so certification may exist — but until we can verify it on a certifier’s official list, our rules say Muslim-Friendly. That’s how this site works.
  • Location & hours — B103 Eclair Shinjuku, 3-11-6 Shinjuku; about 1 min from Shinjuku-Sanchome Sta. Open 12:00–21:00, and the shop warns it may close early if sold out.

What We Could Not Confirm

  • The name and current validity of any halal certification (see above).
  • Explicit official wording on pork/alcohol non-use (third-party articles state it; the official site’s own wording is “100% Halal Food”).
  • Regular closing days.
  • Use of mirin or seasoning alcohol.

What to Order

Shinjuku-tei Ramen with A5 wagyu (¥4,500 +tax) is the showpiece. The chicken paitan ramen (¥2,000 +tax) is the budget-friendly entry, and the A5 wagyu sushi (¥1,000 +tax) is a popular add-on. Expect a premium bill for the wagyu sets (¥4,000–6,000 +tax).
