All-you-can-eat wagyu yakiniku — including Tajima and Kobe beef — one minute from JR Namba Station, with a prayer room in the restaurant. Zerohachi is one of Osaka’s best-known Muslim-friendly BBQ spots, and it earns extra trust for an unusual reason: it openly states that it holds no third-party halal certificate, rather than implying one. That’s exactly the honesty this site exists to reward.
What We Verified
- Halal meat and chicken; separate cutting boards, knives, and kitchenware; prayer room — stated in the restaurant’s own declaration on Tabelog and consistent with its Halal Gourmet Japan listing (pork-free and no-alcohol icons). Checked July 5, 2026.
- Honest about certification — the shop itself states: “Our restaurant does not have any Halal certificate from any third party.” We label it Muslim-Friendly accordingly.
- Location — 5F of the OCAT Mall (the airport-bus terminal building), 1 min from JR Namba.
- Courses ¥4,000–8,250 — all-you-can-eat courses including premium wagyu tiers, per the operator’s shop page. English menu available.
What We Could Not Confirm
- Exact closing times (sources vary between 21:00 and 22:00 last order) — closed 3rd Wednesdays and New Year.
- Which phone number is current: 06-6635-3022 (Tabelog) or 050-5485-8634 (operator page).
- Mirin / seasoning alcohol in the house sauces.
- Details of vegetarian options mentioned in older listings.
What to Order
The all-you-can-eat wagyu courses (¥4,000–8,250) — the higher tiers add Tajima and Kobe beef. Seasoning is the house halal tare and original salt.

The Restaurant That Admits Its Limits
If we had to pick one restaurant on this whole site that best illustrates why our Muslim-Friendly label often deserves more respect than a mislabeled Certified Halal one, we’d pick Zerohachi. The shop’s own Tabelog listing includes a sentence — “Our restaurant does not have any Halal certificate from any third party” — that most restaurants in its category would never voluntarily print. Everything else about Zerohachi’s operation reads as a serious Muslim-friendly kitchen: halal meat and chicken, separated cutting boards and utensils, a prayer room, an English menu, an all-you-can-eat Tajima and Kobe beef course at a price competitive with Tokyo’s better options. The refusal to overclaim is the tell that says the rest is likely accurate. For a Muslim traveler landing at Namba OCAT with a bus from the airport, this is the closest thing to an assumption-free halal-friendly dinner in Osaka.
