Fukuoka is the home of tonkotsu (pork-bone) ramen — which makes this little shop in Hirao remarkable: a fully vegan, Hakata-style ramen shop that is also onion-and-garlic free (oriental vegan) and avoids pork and alcohol entirely, making it one of the most inclusive bowls in the city. It appears on Fukuoka Prefecture’s official tourism site as an inbound-friendly restaurant.
What We Verified
- Entire menu is vegan — confirmed on both Crossroad Fukuoka (the prefecture’s official tourism site) and Vegewel. Checked July 5, 2026.
- Five-pungent-root free (oriental vegan) and Muslim-friendly — Vegewel lists it as fully oriental-vegan with no pork and no alcohol. No halal certification, so our label stays Vegan with Muslim-friendly notes.
- Menu — Hakata-style vegan ramen, vegan tantan-men, vegan gyoza, seasonal vegetable sushi, tempura.
- Opened 2025 — a newer shop; listings are still settling (see below).
What We Could Not Confirm
- Hours conflict between sources: 10:00–15:00 (Crossroad Fukuoka) vs 11:30–15:30 (Vegewel). Lunchtime-only either way — go for lunch and don’t rely on late-afternoon service.
- Closing day (Sunday per one source; irregular per another) and phone number (sources differ).
- No own website found — Instagram is the primary channel.
What to Order
The Hakata-style vegan ramen (¥1,400 +tax) — the plant-based answer to tonkotsu. The omakase set (¥3,800 +tax) adds gyoza, vegetable sushi, dessert, and a drink.
